Informer can send messages via the iSeries/400 break message
function and additionally to any local or remote printer.

Communicate with
the outside world
Informer can send messages via email to anywhere in the world
and to a mobile phone as an SMS message.
- Inform a customer when
their order has been processed, effectively transmitting an electronic
order acknowledgement.

a BACS payment has been made, effectively transmitting an electronic
payment advice.
Use as a debugging
tool
Informer can monitor for program errors resulting in data
corruption and then send a message identifying the name of the program
that caused it, the user who called it, the workstation it was called
from and the date and time that it happened.
